Course details

Learn to be more aware of your body in space and how to move with different dynamics in classes that focus on bodily release, organic movement and the connection between your centre and extremities.

Classes progress weekly, and will provide you with approaches and techniques that build your core strength, posture, flexibility and musicality. Each session includes time on the floor (to focus on alignment and strength), movement (through travelling steps and jumps) and balance (curving with your body and shifting your weight). You will also tackle handstands and go upside-down. Every class ends with a short choreographed piece.

For intermediate-level, the Contemporary Dance course is designed for adult learners with prior dance experience who wish to refine their technical skills, expand their movement vocabulary, and deepen their artistic expression.

Building on foundational techniques, this course integrates release techniques, floor work and improvisation, with a focus on developing strength, fluidity and dynamic range. You will explore complex movement phrases and improve your spatial awareness and musicality.

Each session encourages embodiment and self-discovery within a professionally scaffolded and supportive studio environment. This set of classes is ideal for dancers looking to reconnect with their practice or progress toward more advanced training.

Note: Course trainers are, on occasion, subject to change with short notice.
