Why do products look so good in photographs? Learn the techniques and technicalities of studio product photography, from lighting to product placement and composition. Understand the fundamental principles and challenges of product photography and how to use a full range of studio equipment, while exploring how different products respond to different types of light.
About the trainer
SuFan
After obtaining an MA in Communication Design, a Diploma in Illustrative Photography and having worked both as a designer and photographer, SuFan found her calling in teaching and sharing the fun of photography.
Her personal interest lies in making images of cityscapes, documentary-making and exploring the different possibilities of exhibiting photography works. She sees herself not so much as a photographer but as a kind of addict and compulsive maker and sharer of imagery.

DSLR with interchangeable lenses preferred.
Photography enthusiasts, prospective art and fashion students, semi-professional photographers and/or anyone keen on product photography. Open to all intermediate photographers with an understanding of photography fundamentals such as lens aperture, shutter speed, ISO and depth of field.

Digital Photography for Absolute Beginners I & II
This course is ideal for those who want to learn how to operate the basic functions of a digital camera. You will learn about f-stop, shutter speed, film speed and how these three functions interact. You will also learn the basics of composition on shooting excursions every week, giving you a chance to practise techniques learned in class. The prerequisite for Level II is the completion of the previous level or prior knowledge in digital photography. Applicants with no prior experience are encouraged to start from Level I.
